Butterfly Effect

I just watched the movie 'The Butterfly Effect' and it was really well done. The movie looses steam because of the length - it was about 15 minutes too long. But inspite of all that -it was still a nice movie - something which played on the chaos theory. And Ashton Kutcher does a pretty good job of his first 'serious' role. It is a theme so fascinating that many movies have tried over and over again. And to a small extent Benji and I have tried it earlier in our short film 'Ladder of Parallels', which was a NZ$50 project :-) - which succeded to a certain extent.

Overall 'Butterfly Effect' is definitely a good watch.

One of the wallpapers from 'The Butterfly Effect'-to download them check out their website.

Yesterday evening, I had a meeting with one of the leading distributors in NZ for the movie and it went really well. The task ahead is to finish the movie and get it ready for release. The meeting was definitely encouraging and positive and showed that the team's efforts are going in the right direction. It also gave me more insight into the NZ film industry.

There is this fascinating music piece I came across -which is haunting and sentimental, touching and a dark atmospheric piece. The track is called 'Alone in Koyoto' it is from a group called AIR and the album is Talkie Walkie. And this particular track is also featured on the soundtrack of 'Lost in Translation'. I have included a sampler which I found on the web while researching more about the group. You can have right download it and listen to it and if you do like it support them by buying their album

Alone In Kyoto Sampler Format-mp3, File Size-256KB

Enough about my rant about AIR.. i think you will be ranting about it as well once you hear the tracks and the music.

School is going on fine and projects are on track and rolling as per schedule. Anyway have a whole day ahead of me. Ciao later
