Restlessness

Yesterday was nothing much to write about - i felt sick and nauseated for most part of the day and thus the whole day was kind of a blur which i vaguely remember. Vojislav - one of the students at school this year confirmed his availability to help out as audio recordist on Dan West's short film -which is great. Darryn is not able to help out because of family commitments while I haven't heard back from Asako as she is working on 'Lion, Witch and Wardrobe'. Haven't heard back from Jonathon Moulton - who is supposed to be the DOP for the project. Some locations have still not been confirmed and some parts are still not confirmed - 10 days to go before the shoot - i hope this gets sorted out soon. I was supposed to go and meet Dan yesterday evening but I was feeling so sick that I fell asleep at 6.00 PM - only to wake up hungry and restless at 12.30 AM. I wanted to come to school straight away but decided against it.

Alastair has been offered the job at Touchdown. Annette and Russell are still awaiting a word from them. In a way its great that 4 editors have already got jobs and another 2 are in line. Things will be tight in post production this year with editors doing back to back projects. Triangle's TV Show will definitely become a challenge with manpower being tied up for Term 4 projects. Gerben is off to China this week to a chinese film school on occasion of their 20th anniversary or something like that. Nerida is in Singapore and so is Rob.

Today, is gonna be more productive I suppose because I have already done a couple of things which were due for the past 3-4 days. And today I also hope to get onto populating the South Seas website with images. Atleast thats what I am hoping for.

I have confirmed the order for the M60 and I am excited about it as that would mean hell of a lot to me in terms of learning curve - i can load up new software and try my hand at them -something which I really need to do - a skills upgrade.

My childhood friend, Arun, is going to get engaged soon and along with that one of my best friends, Ashwani, is getting married soon - this has led mom into a 'when r u getting married?' frenzy...Thank God that I am here in NZ otherwise it would have been a real challenge trying to escape that question. Veni asked me the same question - as to what do I really want? The answer is simple - I don't know. I think I need atleast a couple of years for myself to try and sort out my career and that also gives me the time to reduce the repayment amount of my student loan which I took to do the course. And I haven't bumped into someone with whom I would like to spend the rest of my life with or the otherway round.

Warrant of Fitness on my car is out and I think I need to get it renewed soon. Will see if I can get it sorted within this week otherwise it will start becoming a headache. I hope I get it without any problem -especially with the dent in the passenger door still on, from the accident I had earlier last month.
