Fine Art of Chop Sticks
Chop sticks are such a puzzling invention that everytime I get into a situation where I have to use them, I can't help but wonder about them. I wonder who started using chop sticks in the first place and how did they come up with this ingenious idea of using two thin sticks to pick up food to transfer to the mouth. There is this fantastic Japanese outlet situated in glenfield mall, which makes this fantastic teriyaki chicken as well as creamy chicken...the catch is that since it is a japanese place they don't have any spoons, all you have is chop sticks and thats the only way to enjoy the food.... i can't seem to break the chop sticks evenly and always end up with uneven chop sticks and then ofcourse the issue of using them... I think I have gotten much better at it than before but for some strange reason -i feel less hungry while eating with chopsticks rather than with a spoon. I wonder if it is because of the intense focus on getting the food into your mouth using the chop sticks...anyway i can go round and round in circles, but what i wanted to ask was that if anyone knew about the origin of chop sticks and who designed them the way they are and stuff - would love to hear about that.
Has been a relaxing day - did my laundry, had an important meeting for future projects and have been slacking off the rest of the time. I did run into Jamie and Matt and passed on the external hard disc to them, so that they can start work on special effects and colour grading... whats planned for tomorrow - lots of things. will update u when it happens.
ciao
