Sunday
Wohooooo...we won our match today and came third..It was a really close game and we won 23-22, just by a point...It was a thrilling game with the scores tipping up and down in favour of one side then another and as the match time ended, I was under the impression that we lost the game and did not realize it for atleast 5 minutes after that we had actually won. Everyone had a good laugh on that...The whole team went out to dinner after that and had some good talk time and laughs. We will be changing our netball venue as well as the day soon - when and where - none of us know it yet.The trip to the Library today morning was interesting - sitting there, reading a paper I realized that there were lots of families - children, parents, grand parents , who visited the library on the weekends..that kind of sight is hard to see in India and just to test that it was just not the Takapuna Library which had that kind of attraction, I dropped into Glenfield library and it was the same. It is really interesting to see people make use of the public services available...
Finished reading 'Da Vinci Code' - it has a really interesting concept but there are things which bugged me as well - why does every chapter have to end on a cliff hanger??? The book is about 570 odd pages and you have a cliff hanger every 5-10 pages..after a while it starts getting irritating. And the other thing is that Dan Brown tends to repeat the same information a couple of times even though unwarranted - it almost feels like he is trying to fill up pages... the good thing about the book is that it is definitely a good thriller. And about the controversy it created - that seems to be silly and blown out of proportion.
Went and saw 'Batman Begins' again - this time in a smaller theatre and not the massive screen and i enjoyed it much more this time around - picked up smaller things and also loved the sound design on it -they definitely spent heaps of time on that...At home, I also got around to watching 'Clerks', the first movie by Kevin Smith - it is funny but it is too wordy and acting is stilted at times... but still is genuinely funny.
If I had written this blog in the morning- it would have been a lot more philosophical but i guess the game win has put me in a different frame of mind. I haven't written a philosophical blog in ages now - maybe I have been avoiding it but let us see if I will get my head around to actually penning the thoughts down.
Anyway am off for now.

{P.S - I have updated the Press section of the movie site and it now has the interview which Lance and I did with ONFILM - the only tv/film production magazine in NZ..to check it out you can click HERE ...}
