Microcinema Fest
'Memories' has been selected to screen at Microcinemafest to be held between August 8-14 in Palatine, Illinois {USA}...so yeah it is really exciting. You probably can't see me jumping with joy. :)We had our first netball match at our new venue and this venue is way better than our old one and the referee is cool as well. We lost the game - the other team was good, we were not in shape and touch and i guess all of us were still getting used to the game but I think all of us will start getting into the flow of things soon.
Watched 'The Longest yard' yesterday evening after the game and it was alright. It was really funny in bits but it still bore the 'hollywood' trademark. Adam Sandler was almost listless and this would be one of his weaker movies.
The other movies which I manages to watch over the past few days were 'The Station Agent' and 'Eurotrip' - Station Agent was really cool...totally unexpected and sweet as well as emotional while Eurotrip was average and pretty much a predictable movie. The next few movies in line to watch are 'Empire of the Sun' ; 'A very Long Engagement' and 'Shawshank Redemption' - DVD's which I borrowed from Lance.
School has re-opened for a fresh new term and yesterday simply flew away because of workshops and getting back into the flow of things. It is gonna be a busy busy term. Most of today went away into having personal talk sessions with the editors on their progress and areas of improvement. Tomorrow goes into meetings and sorting out guest lectures and suddenly the first week has disappeared. Time just flies past at the school.
Anyway - I will shut up for now.
Amit
