Press Release
Man -the week flew away..It is a beautiful day outside and I don't feel like writing but since I am at home with nothing to do till evening - i thought i would update the blog.First and foremost I thought I would mention that I made a press release a couple of days back and you can check it out HERE. Hopefully it will appear in more places. So yeah it is exciting seeing that the entire team which worked on the movie will get a really good exposure.
Second - 'Memories' has just gotten an internet movie data base listing - which you can check it out HERE . I would like to ask a huge favour - incase you have seen the movie, could you please vote for the movie and write any comments for the same? You need to be registered on imdb and the registration is free.
Watched 'War of the Worlds' - it is way better than I expected and the only thing I did not like was the last 5-10 minutes of the movie which was so contrived and hollywoodish that it almost spoiled the whole movie. But still it is a really cool movie and the sound design was again fantastic, especially when the tripods are beginning to attack. Sound design wise, I think 'Batman Begins' still kicks ass. I still can't understand the furor that hollywood trade journals keep drumming up about box office slump - every year is different and they are not taking into account the rise in DVD sales. It is not as if that money is not going back to the studios...Change is just around the corner - for the working models, for exhibition and for revenue streams. We live in a perpetual state of mind {Alvin Tofler's Future Shock} but right now it is a time of extreme technological changes - much higher than we can handle but I guess that's the challenge -to see if we can rise up to the occassion or not.
Hope to have a quite weekend before the next manic week hits. Will update you of any major changes or updates.
Cheers,
Amit
