Orientation Day
It was the orientation day for the new batch of students who start off their year at South Seas. The first day is always fun and a great way to start the year. I can remember how nervous I was on the first day when I did the course in 2003 - it has been 3 years but it almost feels like a lifetime ago.I was helping David out with his 'breakdown'/'trust' exercises. I am sure every single graduate who has been through the school remembers their first day - no matter how - they either love it or hate it but noone forgets it... Part of the reason is the 'rolling' exercise - unfortunately I could not take any photos of that event because it is a mystery left alone to be experienced and the second was I was helping out David with carrying those out. I am posting some photographs which will give you an idea of what this is all about.

I did not take the photos of the 'egg/ballon' execrise which happens later in the afternoon because there are heaps of photos across previous year from that. But when putting the files on the server - i finally found my old pics that I had backedup there and one of those photographs was Lance teaching me how to snorkel (2003 trip to goat island)...Imagine the the surprise he got when I told him that I did not know how to swim..heeheehe..

I watched the second disc of 'Arrested Development' in one go - that is another 6 episodes odd. It is still entertaining and hilarious as ever. You should definitely have a look if you get a chance.
As a sign off for now I will leave you with another of the old pics I found - it is a view of Auckland Harbour, Harbour Bridge and North Shore. I live on the other side of the bridge - the first exit off the motorway and you are at my home. A couple of interesting (useless??) things about the harbour bridge - you can not walk across the harbour bridge or cycle across it. It is against the law. The only way you can do it is take the Auckland Bridge Climb. I can't remember the second useless fact but it was interesting.

Bye for now,
Amit
