Vanilla Proposition

Vanilla Coke is back - yipeee.. I am not usually excited about fizzy drinks but it just happens that Vanilla Coke was my favorite flavor back in 2003 but then it mysteriously disappeared of all market shelves. And I found it at again at the TVNZ cafe a couple of days back and I still love the taste.

Watched 'The Proposition' - an Australian movie and it was good. The landscapes and cinematography was just haunting plus the story itself was really brutal. All the performances are great and the movie could easily have lost 5-10 minutes of the running length but even as is - it is an entertaining watch.

I got our home internet connection changed from Telecom to Orcon. Telecom connection was not the fastest and dealing with their help desk was a pain - atleast an hour on the phone each time you gave them a ring. Anyway the difference in connection speed is noticeable straight away and the help desk people were really quick and efficient too.

I did location reccee for the pickup shoot at Bethells beach on Sunday and it was awesome. I had forgotten how hard it was to walk through those sand dunes. The drive there is worth every moment of it - lush green hills on both sides and the winding road.

On Sunday evening - went to the Chinese lantern festival and it was a great experience. It definitely felt like China (:-) - lots and lots of people and some yummy food. I wonder why they don't have those kind of food stalls open all the time somewhere in Auckland. Every regional festival there is this yummy food that you never find again.
