Sleepy Weekend
The major highlight of the weekend for me was the sleep. I slept for most of the weekend and I skipped most of my social commitments because of it. I feel bad because I skipped the events but at the same time I am feeling pretty refreshed. I watched a couple of movies: Hellboy 2 & Interview & Michael Clayton. I am also half way through reading 'The One Percent Doctrine'.Hellboy 2: A huge step up from the first movie and the movie is filled with imagination and ideas. There is not a wasted minute on screen - extremely well executed and thoroughly entertaining. Except for a couple of predictable story plot points it is pitch perfect.
Interview: Brilliant acting by Sienna Miller and Steve Buscemi - they hold the movie together as it goes through twists and turns. The ending left a little to be desired but still a great character piece.
Michael Clayton: Tom Wilkinson is the only thing that stands out in this otherwise drab legal drama. The opening 4 minutes of the movie just leaves you reeling with the brilliant visuals and monologue but nothing beyond that follows up to the brilliance. Good acting overall but kind of lost in the general story.
I feel like talking about other things besides movies and books but at the same time I don't feel like writing it out - crazy, huh!!! Well that's me.
Till later,
Amit
