Disgrace
'Disgrace' has been the best movie that I have seen at the film festival this year. It is an adaptation of J.M.Coetzee's novel of the same name and what an adaptation. It is brutal and uncomfortable as the novel - it is poetic, it is beautiful and stunning but at the same time very real. The performances from everyone are bang on target and the movie just flows so naturally it is amazing. In a lot of ways I think the movie actually transcends the book - which is very unusual for film adaptations.We have new flatmates and they will be moving in sometime within the next week. It is a relief of sorts and also the house will become a little bit more lively again.
