Snapshots
The set of studio shows for the week are complete and I took a shitload of photos - about 250 in 2 days {i took more than 350 but only 250 of them are good}. Here are some snapshots from the event.

Me - after the set is dismantled and studio is emptyThe studio looks really awesome painted white, which gives it a feel of endlessness. On a completely different note - the new hi-res trailer for Superman Returns is awesome. You can watch it
HERE or if you wanna see a low resolution crappy version on Youtube
here you go. The SFX look really well done and Brandon Routh is definitely Superman. Let's see how the actual movie shapes up.
Feeling extremely shattered right now, so off to bed.

McLibel
Today has been extremely busy and just flew away in the studio shows at school. Tomorrow is going to be another extremely long day - especially with a guest lecture scheduled later in the evening. I took loads of photographs today - mainly work related - to go into the school pics database but I also managed to find 2 artistic images admist the chaos.
Shadows of Time (Click for a bigger pic)
Milky WayI watched another great documentary today - it was called '
McLibel'. It was a David V/s Goliath court case between Helen and David against McDonald Corporation in UK. The UK Libel system has many loopholes giving corporations more power imaginable than can be thought over anyone who criticizes them. So Helen and David were taken to court by McDonald for not apologizing to McDonalds over distributing pamphlets about some facts about McDonalds - which McD alleges are false. The court case became the longest court case in UK and finally ended in 1997. The matter went further into the European Court of Human Rights against the UK government for breaching the rights to freedom of speech. What the decisions on both the cases were- you will have to watch the documentary or check out
the McSpotlight website. As a documentary it was both inspiring and informative. Hats off to 2 people who fought for freedom of speech and most definitely suffered a lot for it - even though they put a brave face.

Death in Gaza
'
Death in Gaza' is a wonderful documentary - extremely painful and moving. The documentary was completed posthumously as the director/cameraman - James Miller was shot dead by Israeli soldiers without provocation and reason. The documentary follows three children and tries to document the israel-palestine conflict has on their lives. It never flinches away from the truth and it gives you a sense and feel of the place. Death just happens - in a flash and everything you know about life is forgotten. The documentary is powerful and is a must watch. The original plan was to film 3 children in
israel and see the effect on the conflict on them as well but that was canned after James was killed while doing the
palestine side of the doco. Nobody has yet been held accountable for the death and no one wants to know about it - diplomacy eh? United Nations is responsible for the current state of affairs because of their policy in 1948 and now they can do nothing about it but watch people kill each other in the name of land.
I think I will stop this post on the sombre note where safety and freedom are words protected by blood of the unspoken killed.

Dhoom
First of all - today is a special day because Veni {my first cousin} is getting engaged today and I am thrilled for her. I am glad for her that she has found someone she wants to spends the rest of her life with. The engagement is in Hyderabad - so our whole family would be there.
I finally got around to watching a hit bollywood movie titled '
Dhoom'. When I was in India a few months back I was recommended by atleast 4 people to watch this movie - I didn't and yesterday I found the movie at the local video store, so I promptly got it out to see what the big deal was about.
The movie was a tad different from rest of the bollywood films but just - the difference being that the run time was only about 2 hours and that too with a few song/dance sequences - so the film makers did not add any extra baggage to the movie. The editing was something new to the indian audiences I suppose but it was really not in actual terms - jump cuts without rhyme and reason and sudden stylization of a simple scene. There are big story lapses and continuity problems but that obviously didn't matter when the movie played to audiences. The plot was a bastardization of 'Torque' {yeah the movie which was 'Fast and Furious on bikes} with typical bollywood elements thrown in. So yeah, overall view of the movie - a good experiement but nothing much different from any other bollywood movie with its action sequences 'inspired' by various hollywood movies. The main song of the movie is really catchy and I did a search and found the music video
HERE &
HERE (with karoake features)
- you should definitely have a listen.
I also watched '
November' - a movie which was shot on a DVX100 (but with film lenses attached to it). The movie has some fantastic cinematography {it won an award for the same at Sundance} and that's all I can give it credit for- the movie felt really long and slow despite the fact that the actual movie {minus the end credits} was only 70 minutes. It has some fantastic atmosphere and visuals which generate some interest but most of the opportunities are lost because of the plot itself. Overall - watch it if you are in the mood for a slow burn movie.
Richard and me had a brief chat with Jordan {the script writer} to see how the progress was on the fifth draft of 'Nowhere' and it is exciting to see it finally shaping into something fabulous. The script is on the right track and just validates the confidence I have in this project. Also had a chat with Pandora, who has returned to London from Cannes and the response from the meetings at Cannes seems to have been really positive. So now have to wait for the fifth draft to come through before we fire it off to potential international distributors.
Anyway I better get up from the bed and do something useful - maybe go and get myself some lunch.

Woodsman
Saw a really good movie today - '
The Woodsman' starring Kevin Bacon. The movie is harrowing, unnerving and an extremely well crafted story. It has some truly excellent acting and definitely draws you into the story. It is not an easy watch but it is worth every moment.
It is raining hail, storm and thunder - not literally but it is pretty bad. Benji thanks for leaving a comment on the post titled 'End?'. Nothing much to tell or say really - just preparing for some major work over the weekend.

Cure
I have a splitting headache and it is definitely painful - can't move my head without feeling it. I watched a couple of movies today:
Xmen3: The Last Stand and
Barbarian Invasions.
X3 was entertaining and it was definitely better as far as mutants as their use of their powers go but it also has a lot of missed opportunities as far as story goes. The plot is a tad uneven and there are glaring continuity mistakes and is an example of a movie which could do with a longer running time. Some major scenes needed to breath and the build up needed to be better in some scenes. But still it is an entertaining watch.
Barbarian Invasions won the 2004 Oscar for Best Foreign Movie but I can't understand why. I mean it is a good movie, gentle and humorous at times and is about reflection on life and the reality of death but still it did not stand out that much to me. It is a worthwhile watch.
I also got a letter from Screen Innovation Production Fund stating that our application was not successful in recieving the grant - so that's that. Now have to secure further funding from sources outside of New Zealand - it should be another interesting phase in the learning process.
My flatmate bought himself a new 32"TV - it is a widescreen TV, so normal TV appears quite stretched because it is extending the 12:9 image onto a 16:9 screen. Watching DVD's is fun though because it is true 16:9.
Pete - thank for posting a comment on my previous post. Overall I think people are quite content just being anonymous or maybe not many people read what I write here.

End?
What if there was a time and place when everything came to an end? And what if that time and place was tomorrow (24 hours from now)? How would you feel? What would you be thinking? Are you happy with what you have done with your life to this point? Is there anything that you wished that you had changed or would have done differently - if you had a second chance? What would you do? That's the big question.

End of time
I look back on the life I have lived till now and can't think of anything that I would change or do anything differently. I am quite content with the way my life has shaped up to this point. I have been through a fair few trials and tribulations - more than you can imagine that I might have gone through, but I have also had really memorable experiences. I have made a fair few mistakes - some small, some big but learnt from each of them. I have loved and have been loved. I have hated and have been hated. I have cried and I have screamed in agony. I have judged and I have been judged. I have laughed and enjoyed moments with lots of different people. I have discriminated and I have been discriminated against. I have had friends in whose hands I can trust my life with and who have done selfless acts towards me - some which I can never repay. I have had the good fortune of having parents who love me very much and have supported me in everything that I have done and whom I love back equally. There is still a lot of pain that I have - a little for myself and a lot for my family. I wish that I could make life easy for my parents - who have sacrificed a lot of things, so I could have a better life. But it is something which will resolve itself in the future - a future that no one can control, so no point wanting to change the future. So yeah there is nothing that I would change to where I am today and there is nothing that I would have done anything differently but I probably don't want to relive my life again either.
If everything was to end tomorrow - I would then most definitely say my final goodbyes over the phone (if the phone systems haven't crashed by then)- first to my close friends and then finally to my family. After that I would try and do a selfless act - maybe let a homeless person sleep in the warmth of our home or anything which feels selfless at that point. I would cook myself a dish which I really love and then share it with whoever is with me at that point and then I would then go to the nearest beach and lie there - admiring the nature till the end of time.
What about you? Are you just gonna read this or would you be brave enough to share your feelings and thoughts? Or are you just a reader, who finds safety in the anonymity? You might not even know me and I might not know you but I would love to hear your thoughts.

Broken & Fixed

The empty shell
Guess what that is? Yeah that's our TV - atleast the shell minus all the components inside it. The TV died an untimely death today morning and Tim went about trying to fix it, since it is his TV and the idea of putting a fish bowl inside the empty shell as replacement entertainment centre (while cancelling our Sky TV subscription) did not particularly appeal to him. It is the kiwi spirit of ingenuity and the 'do it yourself' attitude which shone through and Tim spent the whole of the sunday trying to find the problem - which turned out to be a blown fuse. He then went and bought a replacement fuse to try fix the problem.

Tim fixing the TV
It took Tim about 6 hours of toiling through the circuits and fuses, to be able to fix the problem. He put it back on and as soon as the power was switched on again, the new fuse promptly blew up again, at which point I reinforced the idea of a fish bowl but that didn't work. Greg got back home by that point, so Tim borrowed his TV tuner card to come up with a new solution.

The solution!!!!!
So yeah - that's how we are watching TV right now - on his laptop, through Greg's TV tuner card. We were discussing the possibility of buying some binoculars, so we can get a bigger view of the proceedings on the laptop...

Circuits
With the increasing amount of publicity of 'Superman Returns' I decided to do a quick refresher on the superman mythology and also explore the storyline whice dealt with 'Death of Superman' - which was a huge global media event that I can still remember from my school days {even though I wasn't into superman comics}. I found one of the best possible sources on Wikipedia- here is an
article on Superman {as to how he gets his superpowers} and here you can also check out the
article on 'death of superman'. Wikipedia is an interesting website, since it is an encyclopedia maintained by normal web surfers all across the world and man I am in love with the website since you can find almost any information you want on there.
Pandora and Grant are currently in Cannes - meeting up with potential distributors and sales agents - pushing the publicity for 'Nowhere to Love' and also seeing if we can secure some money through pre-sales to some international territories. It is an exciting phase but as I said in one of the earlier posts - also really nervous. How we make this movie happen depends on the financial outcomes over the next couple of weeks.
I think I will take leave, get offline and try and catch a movie before I go to bed.

Me and you and everyone we know
I watched a lovely, quirky and extremely brave film titled '
Me And You And Everyone We Know'. It was an endearing watch and there were so many points where I was chuckling at what was happening. The movie is about the connections that we try to make and do make; and the connections that we don't make; and the connections that we break. The characters are complex, human and imperfect but still very fresh. And all the actors deserve - especially the kids deserve a big applause for bringing to life the simplicity and complexities of being a human being.
Miranda July - the writer/diretor and star of the movie
This was a low budget HD movie - made for a budget of US$ 2 million on a Sony CineAlta. The visuals are pleasing, quirky and add so much to the story. It is another highly recommended movie - the title sounds funny and the cover of the DVD is not flash but the movie is top notch. And yeah if you get offended by sexual content easily than don't watch it - there is no nudity in the movie but it is the situations that it explores which some people might find offensive.
I got a couple more movies - which I will no doubt write about sometime soon. Other than that the only thing I would like to say is that all americans must be made to learn the language of any country they 'invade' - this is in response to an article which says that
Mr. Bush's wants all newcomers to USA to learn English. I can understand that English is a common language but making it mandatory by law to learn English is just taking things a step too far. What's next???
Off to bed for now.

Shock treatment
I got 2 quick shocks over the past couple of days - one was not such a big shock and the other a bigger shock than I expected. Greg - one of my flatmates is moving to Christchurch and Tim- my other flatmate is getting married over christmas this year. The marriage news was the big shock because of various reasons I refuse to discuss here.
I haven't shaved for a week because of the cold spell and it feels itchy as hell. I will definitely have a shave tomorrow. Anyway here are the pics of my slippers - it turns out that they look more like dogs than gorrillas :-) I am not sure about them anymore - except for the fact that they are really nice and warm.

'
Goodbye Lenin' is supposed to be a masterpiece of a movie but it isn't so. I mean the SFX are really well realized - achieving the look and feel of East Germany/West Germany in 1989 but somehow the movie is not as funny as everyone says. The story is clever and the situations are funny but I would say the movie is more about dark comedy with more drama rather than a light hearted comedy. You might still enjoy it heaps if you are in the mood for it.

Nowhere again!!!
Benji has taken so much pain and updated the '
Nowhere to Love' website. Do check out the 'Media' page which now has some music samples - which have been composed by Spencer. There will be some more small updates to the 'Character' page within the next day or so.
The past couple of days have been busy with constant emails back and forth plus paperwork for the movie. Pandora and Grant are representing 'Nowhere' at Cannes and this is exciting and tense times. It has been a nice learning curve and now keeping fingers crossed for something positive to come out of the exercise. Again - I think I am extremely lucky to be surrounded by people who are madly passionate about the movie. Richard also designed a lovely new cover for 'Nowhere to Love' and it is simple but unique - captures the quirkiness and mood of the movie.
My car got it's Warrant of Fitness but it cost me a few hundred dollars before I got it and I don't know if I should be happy or sad. I think my car will last another 6 months and after that I will have to retire it - I can't afford to keep pouring money into it.
It has been getting extremely cold in the mornings. Winters are definitely here. I have taken out my gorrilla slippers -they are really warm (I will try and put up a photo of those so you can see what I am saying.).
Will take leave for now,
Amit

Snatch
Doesn't this look like the dog from 'SNATCH'???? Now where was the diamond again??? This was hilarious because the dog was standing outside the door of the shop and from a distance it looked as if he was window shopping.
Click me for a larger imageThese photos were taken on my trip into the city, when I went to have my meeting with Richard regarding the movie. Unfortunately Sri Pinang was closed, so could not get my fix of roti-cury, so we ended up at Rasoi eating some masala dosas - not as satisfying a lunch, especially when I was after that malaysian dish. On the way back I found a couple of pics - the first was a proverb written on the footpath and what an appropriate one too - not many people seemed to notice it but what a brilliant idea.
Isn't that true??This following pic was me trying to capture the multi-layered motorway but instead drifted to this shot which I found fascinating because of the composition. Two people walking across a bridge but what looked like a walk across a concrete platform suspended in air.
Float awayI finally got around to watching, '
The Matador' - it was classic. Hilarious to the bone. Pierce Brosnan and Greg Kinnear are spot on in their acting and the movie is perfectly paced and it achieves everything it sets out to do. The cinematography is beautiful and captures some moments so nicely. Ultimately the movie is about friendship above everything else and it has a satisfying end. A really good watch.
On the movie front - it is official - we have postponed the production of the movie by 3 months and we now plan to film in mid-september. This gives us enough time to fine tune the script and also raise more money for the movie. The task of raising money is a tad hard in NZ, especially since private sources of funding are far and few inbetween plus I don't get to know the results of this round of Screen Innovation Production Fund for another week and half (not really hopeful about it though). We have had awesome response from production companies who want to be part of the movie and we are currently negotiating deals with them. Irrespective of what happens with further funding, we are definitely going to make the movie this year. We passed the 'point of no-return' about three months back.
I took my car to get its Warrant of Fitness and it is going to cost me a few hundred bucks before it get's that. A sucker but there is no avoiding it. I will take leave for now.
Till later,
Amit

Rain!
Rainy sunday and I don't really have much to write about. It has been pouring down on and off for the whole week, so nothing surprising at all. It just meant that I had a long day to myself to ponder over things and plans. I realized that on the blog I have been writing more and more about what films I see and my thoughts over them and I seem to have sub-consciously veered away from writing anything personal or for that matter anything related to the new movie that we are making. I guess one of these days I have to sit down and write a personal entry.

I did buy myself a second-hand futon for the drawing room. Purpose was two-fold: first we needed more seating capacity in our lounge, which ordinarily seats only 3 people comfortable. Now with the futon in the lounge we can now seat 7 people without a sweat. Second purpose was that it would act as a spare bed incase anyone crashes over at our place. I am happy with the purchase because the mattress is really comfortable - it probably needs a good clean and some new covers. Tim, my other flatmate - helped me out by getting out his company truck, so we could transport the futon from the seller's place to ours. I forgot to take my camera with me and missed some nice shots but rectified it when we were driving the truck back to his office. The photos you see were taken on the trip (only 2 good shots out of 15 - the rest were blurred because of low light conditions).
Clouds engulfing the Sky tower
Signing off for now in the hope that my last vestige of sanity is not shattered this coming week.

Magic
I watched 2 awesome movies today and I am feeling a lot better after a painful and horrid week at work. The movies that I watched were: 'The Magician' and 'Waking Ned Divine'
'
The Magician' is a micro-budget australian movie which made it really big. It is hilarious - not in an over the top manner but really black humor and you can't stop laughing at the unpredictability. The movie was made for Aus$ 3000 (before the AFC put in Aus$400,000 for finishing off the movie and i am presuming film transfers) but it so totally works because of Scott Ryan who is the writer/director and central character in the movie. It is a must watch- fascinating stuff!!!!
Scott Ryan as Ray - the hitman with an opinion on everythingThe second movie I watched today was '
Waking Ned Divine' which is a charming movie. Gentle humor and funny situations. It immediately brings to mind how much people gamble. In NZ - I am always surprised at the amount of people who line up to buy a 'Lotto' ticket every week.
Sky movies has been running a gazillion re-runs of '
Napoleon Dynamite' and everytime I chance on it while channel surfing, I end up watching it over and over again - I think I watched it for the umpteenth time today. It is a true classic and it has so much infectious charm that it is hard to switch to a different channel.

Trailers!!!!!!
The first 7 minutes of 'X-Men3' is now available online
HERE. Watch it before it gets pulled down. My feelings - mixed; excited that there are more characters in the movie but the dialogue looks camp and horrible.
On the other hand the TV Spot for 'Superman Returns' rocks...it is way better than the full length trailer. You can watch it
HERE. And yeah - the new trailer for '
Miami Vice' rocks...It is way better than the teaser trailer.
The other trailer worth watching is from an independent film called, '
Little Miss Sunshine' which was really lovely to watch. Another project which looks exciting is Mel Gibson's '
Apocalypto' - the trailer definitely grabbed my interest straight away and this is also my answer to people who feel that trailers should have dialogue.
Anyway that's my update for the day.

Anger Management
So I was telling you how furious I was over events that took place today and how I was off to see a movie to reduce my anger. I ended up seeing a couple of movies: '
The Edukators' {german} and '
Apres Vous' {french}
The Edukators was an alright movie - it was long, it had a clever plot but there is too much talk and it definitely felt like a digital feature. Some of the cinematography was fantastic while at other places it looked too 'DV'; the editing was alright and it could have done with a tighter cut. And overall the movie did nothing to reduce my anger - infact I did get a little more agitated (because of the theme of the movie).
So I decided that I had to watch 'Apres Vous' straight after and it was a good decision as the movie was hilarious - i was laughing the whole way through the movie and it was a smart and funny movie. There is not one moment where it let's you off its grip and it is a small little gem waiting to be discovered on DVD. Do watch it if you get a chance - I am sure you will enjoy it.
I think it is time to hit the bed - wondering the joke that is our society.

Anger
I haven't been this angry, hurt and raged since ages and it is not a good feeling. Some days just turn to shit and what is infuriating is that you try and do your best to fix problems but get bricks on the head in return. It has taken me a good half a day to cool down a bit and I can still honestly say that I am still very very angry.

Green!!!!! (Seems like a pacifying colour)
I think I need to watch a movie or something to escape reality for a few hours.

Malaysian
I had the most satisfying lunch in a long long time. It was yummy and finger looking good. Where was it??? It is a malaysian restaurant on K'Road called Sri Pinang {
356 Karangahape Rd, Auckland || phone: 09 358 3886 - incase you want to try it out}. I had gone into the city for a meeting along with Richard and after the meeting Richard said that he knew an excellent eating joint and stopped over. Man - words can't describe the taste plus the place was really reasonably priced. By the time we finished our lunch, the restaurant was packed to the brim. I had a Roti Curry and even ordered an extra roti - it was that yummy. I had a huge grin on my face for the rest of the day. Highly recommended eating joint.
I just formatted my laptop and installing everything fresh. So it should be another day or so before I have all my softwares loaded up. This time I decided that instead of using MS-Office I would use Open Office which is free to use and thought as a goodwill gesture I would put up a link so that you can download it incase you feel like saving yourself some money and use something which is as good as MS-Office (if not better).

Anyway - I am off to installing more softwares onto my laptop.
Good night,

Innocence
Another busy day and it feels just right starting off the new week on a high note. On introspection - I am surprised as to how much I have gotten used to the 'week' system instead of the 'month' system which we have in India. And obviously the 5 day week is something which I see as a bonus for working in NZ - you end up having 2 days to yourself instead of the 6 day working week in India - which used to be a killer. Different cultures, different work habits.
I went and saw '
Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence' {it was playing as part of World Cinema Showcase @ Academy Cinemas}along with Bronwyn and Jo. Bumped into a lot of familiar faces at the theatre - Stu, Justin, Nicole, Mel to name a few. The movie was visually stimulating but too slow paced and the story leaves something to be desired. I don't know if you know it but 'Ghost in the Shell' is one of my all time favorites because it was visionary and a thrill ride. 'GIS2' has its moments of brilliance but overall as a movie it does not come as a complete package and it just felt a little long at it's 90-95 minute odd mark. The cityscapes are breathtaking and the philosophy discussed in the movie is again great but it just slows the story down instead of moving it forward. I will reluctantly have to say that I did not enjoy it as much as I would have liked to (wanted to/wished to) and I definitely can't sit through a second viewing of it {compare it to the first one which I have seen atleast 20-22 times till now}.
The trailer for '
An Inconvenient Truth' really shook me up and I had to take a deep breath after I watched it..it is a 'must watch' movie and hopefully it succeeds in getting its message across. It deals with climate change and is definitely an area of concern - because as a collective human memory we tend to forget incidents and events really quickly. We are less than 10 years away from the 'point of no-return' and we couldn't care less as long as we have money in our bank accounts to spend on our own luxuries. It gets released in the US soon but not elsewhere....this should go worldwide - I really hope it does.
This is for the hope that humanity realizes the foley in it's ways.

Primer
It has been a busy saturday - had an extremely productive and constructive chat with the script writer for 'Nowhere'. More important meetings coming up this coming week.I am sometimes amazed how time just disappears in the blink of a fraction. Change is always a constant.
Speaking of time - I finally got around to watching '
Primer ' - an ultra-low budget scifi indie flick made for US$ 7000, dealing with time travel. It created ripples at some major film festivals and earned US$ 450,000 in its theatrical run (and possibly more money with its DVD release). It is an interesting movie - beautifully shot and well framed and unique story telling but the problem was that a good 10-15 minutes in the middle which nearly lost me. And for a 74 minute movie that is a not too good. But still it is amazing as to what has been achieved with that amount of money. It is a hard watch but worth the effort.
Time to ponder about the meaning of life.
Adios,
Amit

Mission Impossible
After the long night lecture yesterday night - I took the day off today and the only productive thing I did was go and watch
Mission Impossible:3 and it was an awesome experience. One of the best action flicks i have seen in a while and the movie is taut - keeps you on the edge of the seat. There are so many good things happening with the movie that the couple of qualms I have with it seem ignorable. Philip Seymour Hoffman rocks..he really unleashes something unique. It is a really good watch.
The last couple of days has also seen the release of some trailers (links here are to downloadable sources):
Superman Returns; Miami Vice (saw it at the theatre) ;
Casino Royale;
Pirates of the Carribbean 2.
Casino Royale looks really cool - looks like a nice reboot to the james bond franchise and it feels intense. Miami Vice has the same look as Collateral and didn't get any particular vibe out of it - more so because I have never watched the original TV series. Superman Returns did not really excite me - it was average. The action pieces look awesome but whoever cut the trailer should be fired for mucking up the trailer intensity. The use of music is atrocious. Compared to it the trailer for X-Men 3 has me really excited. The trailer which really got me thrilled was 'Pirates 2' - it looks awesome. I saw the trailer in the theatre as well and the SFX and visuals are stunning. I think this would turn out to be one of the biggest movies this year.
Today morning was filled with false alarms and Civil Defence Failure from the Tsunami warning which arose due to a major earthquake in Tonga registering 8.0 richter scale. Everything is normal here and it seems there has been a complete failure of civil defence organization and they are now facing international as well as national criticism for their handling of the situation.
More things happening with the movie...which obviously I still can't share till the right time.
Off for now,
Amit

Sione's Wedding
I just came back from watching '
Sione's Wedding' along with Echo. My thoughts....blaaahhh....I mean it is not bad but it is not good either. The movie's pacing is way off the mark and it is too long even for it's current length - almost felt like they ran out of ideas and kept dragging the movie somehow. Some jokes are funny but after the first few laughs I couldn't see the humor - it was playing to the audience instead of being true to the story structure. Maybe I just did not get the samoan sense of humor. I usually know if the movie was really bad if I get a headache - I have a really mild headache. It was good seeing Rachel in the movie {the lead for our first movie - 'Memories'} though.
It is great though - it is one of the few films which has tried getting away from the brooding and dark films that New Zealand usually produces. It is a feel good comedy if you can get into it - unfortunately I didn't.
Off to bed for now...
